Most of the data bases that you find are estimates for the year of production. Bob's Watches chart is probably as accurate as any of them. Personally, I prefer to date a watch by the case back number which is located on the inside of the case back. 1972 was the last year for case back stampings so if your watch is newer than 1972, this method won't work.

Place a post here with your serial number and we'll get you close as possible. Additionally, I have placed a chart here in the reference section comparing serial numbers to case back date stamps.

You might want to respond with your serial number in the regular Rolex and Tudor discussion forum which gets more views than here in the reference section.
